Personal life

  • Paje (Early Childhood Care Benefit)
    The basic allowance of the childcare benefit (Paje) helps to finance the expenses related to the maintenance and education of a child under 3 years of age.
  • Af (Family allowances)
    Intended for all parents who have at least 2 children under 20 years old. It depends on the couple’s income.
  • Family Support Allowance (ASF)
    Is paid by the Family Allowances Fund (Caf) or the Mutualité sociale agricole (MSA) to a person who raises his child alone deprived of the assistance of one of his parents, under conditions.
  • Back to school allowance
    Means-tested is paid to families with children aged 6 to 18 who are in school, apprenticeship or care in a specialized care institution.
  • Cmg (Complement of childcare mode)…
    This is a partial coverage of the remuneration of an approved childminder. The amount of the CMG varies depending on the number of dependent children, the age of your child and your resources. There are 2 situations: you directly employ a childminder or you use an intermediary organization.

Professional life

  • Activity bonus

    To benefit from the Activity Bonus, you must:
    – Be over 18 years old.
    – Living in France in a stable way (at least 9 months in the year).
    – Have a professional activity or be compensated for short-time working.
    – Be French OR citizen of the European Economic Area OR Switzerland OR have a valid residence permit for at least 5 years.
    – If you are a student or apprentice, you must receive a monthly income of more than 1028.96 euros.

  • RSA (Revenu de solidarité active)…
    The active solidarity income (RSA) provides people without resources with a minimum level of income that varies according to the composition of the household. The RSA is open, under certain conditions, to people aged at least 25 and young workers aged 18 to 24 if they are single parents or have a certain duration of professional activity.

 

 

Housing

  • APL, ALS, ALF

    Whether you are a tenant or a landlord, you have the right to apply for this aid.
    The personalised housing allowance is granted only for your main residence (housing where you live for at least 8 months a year) on French territory.
    Your accommodation must also respect certain conditions of decency and occupancy: minimum surface (8m2 for a single person, 16m2 for 2 people, 7m2 additional), no endangerment for the one who lives there.
    The dwelling concerned must also be conventional. This means that the owner of the dwelling must have entered into an agreement with the State to qualify for housing benefits.

  • Student housing
    As a student you can apply for APL or ALS. Housing allocated by the CROUS can make it possible to be housed at low cost.
  • Moving allowance
    The moving subsidy is intended for large families when their household expands.
    To be able to benefit from it you must meet the following three conditions, within six months of your move:
    – have at least three dependent children (born or unborn)
    – be eligible for personalized housing assistance (APL) or family housing allowance (ALF) for your new home
    – Your move must take place between the first day of the calendar month following the third month of pregnancy and the last day of the calendar month preceding the two years of your last child.
  • Home Improvement Loan
    To benefit from the Home Improvement Loan (PAH), you must:
    – live in France;
    – carry out renovation and/or thermal insulation work in your main residence. If you carry out maintenance work (painting,…), you cannot claim the Pah;
    – be in receipt of a family benefit. Attention, you can not claim it if you only benefit from one of the following benefits: the Als, the Apl, the Aah, the Rsa, the Activity Bonus;
    – have at least one dependent child.
    There is no means test to be able to benefit from the Pah but loans are limited. Resources can be considered in prioritizing applicants.

Handicap

  • Aah (Allowance for disabled adults)
    To be able to assert your rights to the AAH you must comply with all the conditions in force, namely:
    – Be of French or foreign nationality, but in a legal situation (residence permit)
    – Reside in France
    – Have a disability rate of at least 80%
    – You must be at least 20 years old. This minimum age is reduced to 16 years if he is no longer considered dependent on his parents for family benefits.
    – Your income and that of your spouse must not exceed the ceilings in force
  • Aeeh (Disabled child-raising allowance)
    Your child must meet all of the following conditions for you to receive the AEEH:
    – He must reside in France permanently
    – He must be under 20 years old
    – He must not be placed in a boarding school with full coverage of the costs of stay by the Health Insurance, the State or the Department
    – He must not receive professional income higher than 55% of the gross monthly SMIC, i.e. €923.42
  • Ajpp (Daily parental presence allowance)
    To receive the daily parental presence allowance, you must:
    – have a child under 20 years of age, seriously ill, disabled or victim of a serious accident requiring the presence of a person at his side;
    – punctually stop your professional activity to take care of it;

    You cannot benefit from the AJPP if you receive:
    – daily allowances (sickness, maternity, paternity or accident at work);
    – the flat-rate maternity leave allowance (or maternity replacement allowance);
    – a retirement or invalidity pension;
    – the allowance for disabled adults (Aah).
